Example Covering Letter for a Section 21 Notice
When serving a tenant with a section 21 Notice it is courteous to include a coveirng letter with it which very briefly explains in plain english what it is and what they have to do.

SECTION 21 NOTICE SEEKING POSSESSION OF THE ABOVE PROPERTY
We regret to inform you that we are seeking possession of the property detailed above. Enclosed is a notice served upon you in accordance with section 21 of the Housing Act 1988.
Please be advised that you are required to vacate the premises by the date specified in the notice.
In addition, this letter contains copies of the following documents: -
- Gas Safety Certificate for the Property;
- EPC information; and
- The Government How to Rent Guide.
If you do not vacate the property by the specified date, we will have to initiate possession proceedings in County Court. The costs of these proceedings will be charged to you.
